"Inspired Art from the Heart"

Kerry Sandhu is an emerging, self-taught acrylic artist born and living all of her life in Perth, Western Australia, until her move to Darwin in the Northern Territory in January 2020.

She is inspired by nature, spirit, life, music and lyrics and just like her music tastes, her artistic style, techniques and themes are very eclectic.

Kerry's ‘inspired art from the heart’ covers a variety of themes which encapsulates her raw uniqueness and spiritual energy as she creates vibrant paintings of the beauty found in the details of her life.

She has a love of painting and creating and wants to share this with others to touch hearts, inspire minds, ignite passion and evoke emotions.

Kerry's mantra is as follows:
“Art is like people, no two are the same.
Each person has their own destiny, and art will always find its destiny too.”

** LEST WE FORGET **

Kerry has a deep connection with the ANZACS (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.) dating back to her Great Uncle landing at ANZAC Cove on 25 April 1915, where he was ultimately killed in action. Her Grandfather fought in WW2 and was caught in Greece, spending a number of years as a POW, and other family members also served in both WW1 and WW2.

Kerry's son is also currently serving in the Royal Australian Navy.

As her own personal tribute to all of the servicemen, servicewomen and service animals, past and present, and their ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, Kerry paints an original artwork on ANZAC Day (April 25) each year.

From these original artworks, Kerry has created a unique ANZAC Inspired Collection to commemorate these brave men, women and animals.

The red poppy is a symbol of remembrance to those who died in war or are serving in the armed forces. The purple poppy is a reminder of the animals that have and continue to serve.
