Inspired Art from the Heart

Kerry Sandhu is an emerging, self-taught acrylic artist, born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, before relocating to Darwin, Northern Territory in January 2020.

Her art is inspired by nature, spirit, life, music and lyrics, and—just like her musical taste—her creative style is eclectic, expressive, and emotionally charged.

Kerry creates “inspired art from the heart” that spans a variety of themes, each reflecting her vibrant energy, soulful curiosity, and connection to the world around her.

Kerry’s artworks are known for their bold colours, emotive presence, and the ability to ignite passion, evoke emotion, and inspire others.

LEST WE FORGET

Kerry has a deep, personal connection to the ANZAC legacy. Her family history is marked by generations of service:

* Great Uncle landed at ANZAC Cove on 25 April 1915 and was killed in action.

* Grandfather fought in World War II and spent years as a prisoner of war.

* Grandfather (Poppy) served in the Australian Imperial Force (AIF) during World War II.

* Father served in the Royal Australian Navy as part of National Service.

* Son is currently serving in the Royal Australian Navy.

As her personal tribute, Kerry paints an original artwork every ANZAC Day (April 25) to honour the
men, women, and animals who have served in the defence forces.

These annual artworks have formed the foundation of her ANZAC Inspired Collection, a range of commemorative pieces and functional art that keep their memory alive.

🐾 The purple poppy honours the animals who have served alongside them.
