The piece reflects Darwin’s journey—from the devastation of Cyclone Tracy on Christmas Eve 1974 to the impact of Cyclone Fina on 22 November 2025—and the remarkable community spirit that has carried it through. Each time, Darwin’s people rebuilt, supported one another, and lifted their community with courage and determination.
